Our Story

A majority of the pedagogical canon in string education is currently centered around white male voices.

We aim to expand pedagogical materials to be reflective of the growing resources available for string education.

As we work toward a more diverse and inclusive society which celebrates people of all races, genders, sexual orientations, backgrounds and histories, it is vital that students encounter music that is representative of this diversity as part of their core repertoire.

Evergreen Music Press was founded by violinists and educators Dr. Sarah Pizzichemi and Ava Gehlen-Williams in the Spring of 2021.
